B. Jolene Lewis is a seasoned legal professional with extensive litigation experience. Having served as a Senior Deputy Public Defender in Ventura County for over 15 years, Jolene has litigated numerous serious and violent cases, including homicide, sex offenses, arson, gang-related violence, and assaults. Her excellent communication and negotiation skills and her deep knowledge of current laws have distinguished her in the field. Jolene’s ability to manage a high caseload and handle complex tasks has been demonstrated through her successful litigation of over 50 jury trials and countless other legal proceedings.
Witnessing firsthand the challenges that arise without proper estate planning, Jolene has now shifted her focus to providing legal counsel in all aspects of probate and trust administration, litigation, and estate planning. She is dedicated to minimizing risk and addressing potential problems before they occur. Jolene’s experience as an attorney and her significant background in litigation allows her to understand the emotional and practical difficulties families face during the estate planning process. She is committed to assisting each client with compassion and tailored legal advice to meet their unique needs.
Jolene is licensed to practice in California and has a strong educational background. She holds a Juris Doctorate from George Mason University School of Law and a Master of Public Administration from Cal State Northridge. Her undergraduate degree in English Literature from the University of Arizona and her legal education and professional experience equips her with a comprehensive skill set to effectively counsel clients in estate planning matters.
Beyond her legal career, Jolene enjoys indie and folk music, playing several instruments, and attending music festivals. She is an avid traveler and enjoys home renovation projects, classic literature, writing, and gardening. Jolene’s diverse interests and commitment to her clients make her a valuable addition to the Botti & Morison probate and trust administration and litigation department. We are thrilled to have her join our firm.
